Our Core Business Principles 1. Our customers needs always come first. If we are successful at meeting our customers needs, we will be successful.
2. We require accuracy and reliability of our products. Our customers place a lot of trust in our products and we take our responsibility to honor that trust very seriously. All of our products must be rigorously tested for accuracy and reliability before they ever are delivered to a customer.
3. We strive for simplicity, especially from a user's perspective. Customers prefer software that is easy to understand and easy to use.
4. We stress creativity and imagination in everything we do. Both engineering and marketing are part art and part science. There always may be a better way to accomplish a given goal. There is nothing sacred about precedent. 5. Engineering and Sales/Marketing are two coequal pillars of our firm. It does not make sense for us to produce products we cannot sell or to sell products that do not work. Both areas must respect each other and realize they are working towards common goals. Teamwork is crucial to our success.
6. Customer requirements are the primary focus of our development efforts. Since we can only earn profits for products we actually sell, we devote our development efforts on those products and features that our customers or prospective customers will find useful enough to purchase. 7. Meetings are for solving problems, not soliciting praise. Make sure your biggest roadblocks are included in the agenda for the next meeting with the people who may have the experience or point of view to help break through each one.
8. Our engineering and architecture decisions must provide for flexibility and extensibility. Our customers needs and competitors offerings change over time and we must ensure that our products can change with them.
